Overlooking the southeastern Ibizan shores, beneath the swaying palms on the shimmering dunes, lies a restaurant with a gorgeous and iconic thatched roof. Located in the bustling Playa d’en Bossa neighbourhood, Beachouse delivers a laid-back escape that feels both exclusive and soulful, with a little something for everyone. Whatever you’re looking for, Beachouse has it, as mindful mornings slip into fun-filled nights dripping with Mediterranean essence.
Family & fashion by the sea
Celebrating its one decade anniversary in 2024, Beachouse has been known to host legendary beach parties hosting up to two thousand revellers. These days, the restaurant reflects the more chilled lifestyle of Sofija Mehta, the Founder of Island Hospitality, a collection of hospitality venues across London and Ibiza. Over 50% of the menu is now plant-based and the raucous parties have given way to something more in tune with Mother Nature. The venue boasts a ton of chilled sun loungers to soak up the sun on, available to guests who want to relax by the beach, whilst the wooden deck is just behind the beach, offering both direct waterfront views and a welcome escape from that scorching heat.

Even better, parents can lounge in peace while little ones explore the sand or take part in the “Little Beachouse” craft and game zone. With no bookings needed, kids can enjoy a menu and space made just for them. Souk, the beachfront shop, is stocked with vegan products and beachwear from ecological-minded designers. Boathouse offers something for all generations, with daily kids activities, sunrise yoga, and moonlit dinners all unforgettable experiences. Besides, if you’re looking for a night out, the same group owns Chinois, a world class club in Marina Botafoch.
Starting your day with intention at Beachouse
Each morning at Beachouse begins with an invitation to 9:30 am beachside yoga – a calming ritual that centers mind and body before the sun takes over the sky and that famous Ibizan heat rises. It’s the perfect prelude to the restaurant’s healthy and hearty breakfast. Expect dishes that are restorative and vibrant, such as the coconut yogurt bowl, oak-smoked salmon, or hearty chickpea curry. Quite the refreshing break after a potentially heavy night of partying and lots of wine.

The restaurant’s entire menu has been carefully curated by Food & Beverage Director Gennaro Vitto and Executive Chef Sergio Cardeñosa, celebrating the Balearic islands with seasonal, organic dishes. Diverse yet coherent, the menu is anchored in the Mediterranean ritual of sharing – small plates to be enjoyed barefoot in sand, laughter mingling with the surf. Consider the charcoal grilled romaine lettuce with comté cheese, it’s the ultimate sensory dining in an elemental setting. A chilled out breakfast here can so easily lead into a lazy lunch that becomes dinner under the stars.
Moonlit Dinners & LUNAR Magic
From Thursday to Sunday evenings, the restaurant embraces its nocturnal elegance. The Moonlit Dinners are communal ceremonies: candles flicker on tables set in the sand, while nomadic artists from around the world infuse dinners with soulful sounds. Then there’s LUNAR, the full‑moon ritual. Celebrate the tides and cosmic currents through a beachside feast, rhythmic beats, and harmony with the cosmos. It’s a sacred rhythm that extends the day-to-night flow that so defines Beachouse.

Drinks That Set the Mood
Beachouse’s “Drinks Bible” lives up to its name, with a curated roster of signature cocktails, spirits, beers, and a thoughtful wine list. Reflecting the siren call of Ibiza, the drink menu shows off inspiration from around the globe. Take the crisp and refreshing Paradise Sgroppino cocktail, a concoction combining Grey Goose vodka, kaffir lime leaf, passion fruit purée, Amaro Santoni liqueur, vanilla, lemon, pineapple, champagne. The wine selection complements each dish, emphasizing regional character and balance.
As the day fades and the moon rises, sip on the delicious Boho, crafted with Patrón Reposado tequila, hibiscus, red fruits cordial, cured lime shrub, coriander, cardamom soda. Settle in a bit deeper into your conversation, accompanied by the live music, the murmur of gathering tide and the excitement for what’s to come.

Our Experience at Beachouse
My guest and I arrived on a Friday evening after a long day lounging at another beach (what a hard life we lead). We were sun kissed, a bit tired, and looking forward to a relaxing evening of good food and wine and how fortunate we were!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by warm hosts and wonderful live music – organic sounds, vocals, and instruments playing out on the deck – creating the exciting bohemian vibe that Ibiza is known for. The place was lively, showing off the venue’s continued popularity. We sat at a table near to the waterfront and were immediately looked after by our attentive host for the night, David.

Daring to surprise us, two cocktails were delivered to us soon after sitting. The Cucumber Mule was a crisp, refreshing blend of Grey Goose vodka, Bison Grass vodka, cucumber, mint, and ginger beer. Perfect for sipping by the water as the sun sets. For those who prefer bolder flavors, the Mezcalista delivered, with its Josper-cooked pineapple, jalapeño-infused mezcal, lime, and bergamot liqueur. Sweet, sour, and gently spiced, it was a vibrant cocktail with a smoky backbone, ideal for those who love a drink with character.
We started our meal with rustic sourdough bread accompanied by rich, garlicky, and very moreish aioli, alongside tasty datterino tomatoes, making for a fantastic take on an Ibizan classic. The most delicate and smooth black truffle Spanish tortilla soon arrived, impressing us with the perfect balance of moisture and texture. Next came the bluefin tuna belly carpaccio, a dish that epitomized elegance. Thinly sliced, buttery and melt-in-the-mouth soft, the tuna was beautifully accentuated by the briny pop of capers and a shallot vinaigrette that added just the right touch of acidity and sweetness.
Two delicacies followed: the charcoal-grilled octopus was tender and had a distinctly smoky flavour, with a perfect char from the grill. Drizzled with a vibrant coriander and ginger vinaigrette, it offered a lively contrast of herbal freshness and subtle heat. The Ibérico tomato was juicy and sweet, paired with a creamy Mediterranean remoulade that added a tangy, herbaceous kick. Alongside, the charcoal-roasted Agria potatoes brought a satisfying smokiness and crisp exterior, making this dish a standout among the sides.

A touch of theatre arrived with the guacamole, freshly prepared at our table. Creamy avocado was mashed to perfection with just the right balance of lime, cilantro, and a hint of chili, served with warm, golden corn tortilla chips. The interactive element made it even more enjoyable and the portions were huge, we had to take half of it home.
For the main event, the 400gr Wagyu beef was a masterpiece. Rich, marbled, and cooked to juicy perfection, the crushed green peppercorn sauce added a piquant, aromatic depth that complemented the beef without overpowering it. The risk with wagyu is always the temptation to over do it, when it is best to let the quality of the meat do the talking. Its companion were the absolutely delectable crunchy sweet corn ‘ribs’. Charred to bring out their natural sweetness and finished with a squeeze of lime, they had an addictive smoky-sour crunch that made them impossible to put down.
Despite being packed to the brim, David insisted we try some dessert. The Chocolate Bar was, in a word, outrageous. Layered with hazelnut praline, crunchy cookie, and paired with a rich cocoa financier, every spoonful was a mix of nutty, chocolatey goodness.
