A few years ago, I saw Notting Hill through very different eyes, working in fashion and spending weekends on Westbourne Grove, wellness wasn’t really on my radar. Now, in my 40s, my outlook has changed: a more holistic approach, fewer late nights, and more early-morning Pilates sessions. Returning to one of my favourite neighbourhoods, I was eager to discover what Cloud Twelve had to offer.
The Spa
Tucked away in Colville Mews, just minutes from Portobello Road and my beloved Westbourne Grove, Cloud Twelve is a wellness and lifestyle club unlike any other. Spanning three stylish floors, it’s a sanctuary of calm in the heart of Notting Hill.

The midnight-blue exterior opens into a haven of relaxation, designed for ultimate indulgence. Whether you need to detox, recharge, or refocus your energy, this spa offers a range of holistic, results-driven treatments that blend Western and Asian philosophies. From massages and facials for men and women to pre- and postnatal rituals, there’s something for everyone. It’s also home to the viral sensation, The Head Spa, adored by the beauty press, celebrities, and regular clients alike.
The team at Cloud Twelve also offers non-invasive, high-tech facials grounded in science and modern technology. For specific skin and body concerns, they can craft bespoke programmes to help you achieve your desired results.
The Treatment
I was invited to spend 90 blissful minutes with Ilona for the much-talked-about Head Spa treatment. A combination of hair and scalp health, relaxation, and rejuvenation, this Japanese and Korean-inspired ritual follows a unique 21-step formula. It addresses hair loss, thinning, dandruff, dry or sensitive scalp, while promoting volume, hair growth, and glossy, healthy locks.
The treatment combines scalp therapy, head massage, and facial rejuvenation. It begins with a scalp analysis via a scanner. I held the iPad, fascinated to see my scalp and hair health up close. Ilona then applied a purifying treatment alongside a sublime scalp massage, followed by a bespoke shampoo and conditioning ritual.

While the treatment was left to work its magic, I enjoyed a face, neck, and décolleté massage designed to de-puff and sculpt. The finale was the signature waterfall rinse—a gold-hued cascade—followed by a herbal steam mist and a final scalp massage.
“Designed by herbalist and naturopath Jenya Di Pierro, who specialises in female health, these scalp facials and holistic head spa therapies use high-quality natural products, herbal medicine, and advanced techniques to restore scalp balance, encourage hair growth, and deeply relax the nervous system,” Ilona explained.
Post-treatment, there’s an option for a blow dry in the salon, but I opted to spend time in the thermal suite, which includes an ice bath, steam room, rose sauna, and salt cave, a luxurious indulgence in the most stylish surroundings.

Cloud Twelve at Home
While at Cloud Twelve, I also spotted one of my favourite brands, Gaia. Their products perfectly complement the spa experience, from the Salt & Oil Scrub, with its signature blend of rosemary, Ravensara, peppermint, and lemongrass, to their facial serum containing echinacea, rosehip, and essential oils. They’re the perfect way to extend that spa feeling at home.
