As you’ve guessed I’m all for hand luggage only when travelling (as per my previous article on the subject) and from time to time my partner joins me too. I only thought of this a few weeks ago when we were in Mallorca, there are so many products that we can share (roughly translated he can carry of course!) from Factor 50 to sharing his fragrance. So, here are some of my favourite hand luggage products to add to your upcoming travels.
Bentley Fragrance
Bentley Fragrances has recently launched its first collection of exclusive fragrances for men and women. Launching with evocative journeys, Bentley Beyond – The Collection matches its incredible ingredients with exotic destinations.
“Voyages have been part of Bentley Motors’ identity from the outset. At the age of 14, founder Walter Owen Bentley, known as “W.O.”, cycled an astounding 130 miles from London to Norfolk in a single day. He would later describe the joy of independent travel as “one of man’s fundamental longings”
Described as a luxurious wardrobe of scented accessories for trailblazers, the new collection reflects this adventure, with scents that go beyond trends and evoke emotions, who else has recollected an incredible place or memory via a scent, I know I have! This is why the fragrances showcase a most precious ingredient that conjures an exotic destination – The Collection translates a voyage into scent.
The collection takes you to different countries, each associated with a fragrance note and a colour theme inspired by Bentley Motors’ exclusive palette. I chose the exotic musk for us both, inspired by Acapulco With top notes of Ambery Woods, heart notes of Tonka bean and Ambranone, and base notes of musk and white wood, it’s a warm spicy scent that can be worn by us both.
SOS Skincare Lips
I was kindly sent a sample from SOS, it’s a deeply nourishing and mattifying lip balm with broad-spectrum UVA & UVB protection SPF 30, that helps to moisturise and protect lips against the harsh effects of the cold, wind and sun. The best thing about it though, and please don’t judge; the pump application means, that if you lose the top of it, you don’t get a sticky/fluffy situation like a normal lipstick-style SPF stick, or even worse; grainy sand stuck to the lid.
A unique blend of botanical extracts including; Pisum Sativum (Pea Extract) and Viscum Album Leaf (Mistletoe Extract) deliver lasting hydration whilst helping to repair & soothe damaged skin. This was an absolute winner from a practical point of view and it actually works, it is also non-greasy!
Expressive Cherry Aviator Sunglasses
When you buy from Expressive Cherry you buy from a small UK independent who really cares about you feeling good in your sunglasses. I’ve been a fan for a while and whilst mostly the frames are oversized and more fashion-focused, Anita the Founder has introduced some aviator styles this summer that work perfectly for all face shapes.
Their stock is limited, which minimises the impact we make on the environment so they can keep introducing the latest styles at a more affordable price, the quality is incredible and you don’t worry so much as you would with a pair of Tom Ford’s or similar on a boat or beach day.
The latest styles are trending sunglasses with the double bridge above the nose, these work perfectly for men or women. “As a Luxe for Less specialist, Expressive Cherry source sunglasses offer not only great style at an affordable price but sunglasses that make you feel good. All our sunglasses are UV400 rated to provide full UV protection to your eyes”.
Gaia SPF
Introducing GAIA’s first SPF moisturiser, formulated with Vitamin E and B5, which both naturally hydrate the skin and help protect the skin cells from damage, this was something we both used all week whilst away.
The SPF 50+ Daily is dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin as well as being certified vegan. The formula is ‘broad spectrum’ which means it will shield the skin against both UVA and UVB rays, offering a higher level of protection, it’s a great all-rounder for different skin types and the bottle was perfectly sized under 100ml to carry in your hand luggage.
Side note, the quality of this moisturiser is amazing, when I’m not travelling I’m a fan of serums over moisturisers, whereas Chris, my partner, uses a heavier cream for daily use and this was the perfect in-between texture for us both.
Carol Joy Pure Collagen Spray
Dubbed “a facial in a can” by Vogue, the world-first collagen spray utilises Pure Triple-Action Collagen for instant, transformative results. This Pure Collagen Spray is powered by Soluble Collagen Molecules, providing intense hydration to reveal supple, radiant skin, this is perfect as an end-of-day spritz after being in the sun or out on a boat or beach.
I was super excited to try this, the compact size meant, once again; that this was a perfect travel product and the quality of the ingredients was impressive. The benefits are as follows; skin smoothness by 26%, reduces the appearance of fine lines by 26% and improves overall skin condition by 34%.
This miracle spray also stimulates collagen production to reduce sagging and cell renewal for a brighter, more even complexion. Used under or over makeup, it is an instant complexion refresher, the results exceeded my expectations, and to be honest Chris didn’t get a look in on this one!
La Pochette Clear Bags
Whether you are jetting off to somewhere fabulous, or just heading into the office, the Anywhere Everywhere Collection in Linen and Shadow is your perfect companion. The set includes the Small Anywhere Everywhere, suitable for in-bag daily essentials, post-workout beauty products, or as a cabin-approved toiletry bag for your travels.
Also included is the Large Anywhere Everywhere. Its generous dimensions accommodate tablets and personal tech for daily commutes and hybrid working organisation.
This pouch serves as an excellent travel accessory, is great for organising toiletries and other items, and is a superb companion by the poolside in my case, this is usually in my work bag as it’s a quick glance at it to see where your essentials are. Finally, the Anywhere Everywhere Wallet completes the set. It’s ideal for your passport, tickets, and other travel essentials.
Radley Hand Luggage
This is an absolute hero piece from London-based brand Radley, also known as the Hillgate Place Tote. Not just a super spacious, artisan-made bag crafted with soft-grained leather with a sumptuous faux suede lining, but it’s also a two-in-one accessory, with an interior zipped pouch that can be detached and used as a document pouch during the day whilst travelling, or a carry-alone clutch for the evening.
With a timeless style, it’s the perfect bag to carry as hand luggage or whilst on the move exploring plus when you get to your destination you have the added security of the zipper closure on the pouch within the bag for your phone and money etc. Genius.
Monos Luggage
I was rather happy to receive this from Monos, the hybrid carry-on is perfect for my laptop, camera, tripod and spare phones, batteries etc, and my beauty essentials. I never ever put anything work-related in the hold of a plane, especially my camera and lens. This case is durable, light, and resilient all at once.
“We took the most desirable features of aluminium and polycarbonate luggage and merged them in a supremely sleek suitcase that stands in a class all its own: meet the Hybrid Carry-On. Designed to fit in the overhead bin of almost any flight, anywhere in the world”.
Created from a hard polycarbonate shell that features a refined metallic finish, zipperless aluminium frame, and anodized aluminium corner guards, the Hybrid Carry-On is virtually unbreakable.
“All components have been colour-matched, from the ultra-sturdy telescopic handle to the two TSA-Accepted locks and whisper-quiet wheels. When you’re not travelling, the Hybrid Carry-On suitcase nests inside the Hybrid Check-In Medium for easy storage”.
I was a little nervous about it getting scratched on my travels, but so far so good and it’s still looking polished!
To conclude
There are so many brands out there, but sometimes it really is worth getting a handful of great quality products rather than lots of cheap ones, it saves space, time and cost in the long run and as timeless classics you can share them with your partner.
